Aviation industry is soaring and AMEs are indispensable.

India's aviation industry is witnessing sustained growth, with domestic carriers placing orders for hundreds of new aircraft and passenger traffic continuing to rise. The government reports that the aircraft MRO market is expected to reach about $4 billion by 2031, reflecting increasing maintenance demand and strong policy support to build domestic capabilities. This steady expansion highlights the growing importance of skilled Aircraft Maintenance Engineers in ensuring fleet safety and airworthiness, while also creating substantial career opportunities across the aviation ecosystem.

Why AMES are Legally Indispensable in Aviation?

Licensed Aircraft Maintenance Engineers (AMEs) are not merely technicians-they are legally authorised certifying professionals responsible for declaring an aircraft safe to fly.

As per ICAO standards (Annex 1 & Annex 8) followed by all 193 UN member countries, and under India's Aircraft Act, 1934, Aircraft Rules, 1937, and CAR-66, no aircraft can be released for flight without a licensed AME signing the Certificate of Release to Service (CRS). Every flight, every passenger, and every aircraft depends on an AME's approval before take-off.

While the AME licence grants legal certification authority, a BSc Aviation degree strengthens academic grounding, expands career options, and supports progression into management, safety, quality, and regulatory roles. Our AME Dual Program combines the legal authority of AME certification with the academic credibility of a bachelor's degree, offering wider opportunities and long-term career growth.

As aviation expands, the demand for licensed AMEs and qualified aviation graduates continues to rise-making this a future-ready career where your expertise and signature keep the skies safe.

From engineering to aviation management careers; Become the reason aviation moves forward safely.

Important Note: Even if you hold an M.Tech or Ph.D. in Aeronautical or Aerospace Engineering, you cannot certify an aircraft unless you complete the AME curriculum prescribed under CAR 66 and obtain an official AME license. This makes AME a highly specialized, legally recognized, and globally respected profession - where your skills directly impact aviation safety.

Eligibility: 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry & Mathematics (PCM) from a recognised board OR 3-year Diploma in Engineering (Mechanical/ Electrical/ Electronics / Aeronautical)

Opportunities for
Aircraft Maintenance Engineers

The global aviation industry is soaring with robust growth, offering promising opportunities for Aircraft Maintenance Engineers (AMEs). According to the International Air Transport Association (IATA), air passenger numbers are expected to reach 4.7 billion in 2026, surpassing pre-COVID levels of 4.5 billion in 2019. This resurgence fuels the demand for newer aircraft and efficient maintenance systems.
In India, the aviation market is the third-largest globally and is projected to become the third-largest aviation market by passengers by 2030 (Ministry of Civil Aviation, Govt. of India). With over 1,200 aircraft on order by Indian carriers and the expansion of Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul (MRO) hubs, the country is poised for a boom in aviation services.
