The duration of Aircraft Maintenance Engineering course is 02 years, which is divided into four semesters of six months each, covering all the modules of respective category. The entire course consists of basic knowledge training, basic knowledge examination, practical training and practical assessment. Both the Theory and practical training is imparted in each semester and accordingly the semester exams are conducted for theory and practical.
All the modules of B1 and B2 as prescribed in the Appendix I of CAR-66(Licensing of Aircraft Maintenance Engineers, issued by DGCA) shall be divided in four semesters in a sequential manner with ease of understanding and the level of training required. Further in this two years training program all the scholars of academy, will be imparted the practical training on airports in Maintenance organizations where they will work in actual working environment. In this duration learners have to appear for two different types of examinations i.e Semester Exams and Modules Exams.
1. Semester Exams: All the applicable Modules are divided into four semesters. In Each semester both theoretical and practical exams are conducted in the college premises under supervision of DGCA approved Training manager. If anyone fails to clear any paper in semester he/she gets another chance to appear for resemester within 30days.
2. Module Exams: Apart from the semester exams every student has to appear Modular Examinations which is conducted by CEO, DGCA, and Govt. of India in Pune/Mumbai. Three sessions of module exams are conducted in a year and a student can appear for four modules in a session. If any one fails to clear any module, he/she can reappear it in next session.
